Redmi 10 first sale in India today at 12pm
Xiaomi is all set to commence the sale of Redmi 10 in India. The handset will be available for purchase from 12pm onwards. The device will go on sale through Mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart, and partner offline stores. The all-new Redmi 10 carries a price-tag of Rs. 10,999 for the base 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 12,999 for the 6GB/128GB model.
Why does this story matter?
The Redmi 10 is the successor to Redmi 9 which was launched last year. The handset aims to attract buyers with features such as a Snapdragon 680 chipset, a 50MP main snapper, and 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging. With the Redmi 10, the company aims to take on the Samsung Galaxy M21 (2021) Edition, Motorola Moto E40, and Realme C35.
It sports HD+ display with a 60Hz refresh rate
The Xiaomi Redmi 10 has a waterdrop notch design at the top-center, slim bezels, and a plastic body. It has dual cameras on the rear with a physical fingerprint scanner placed inside the camera bump. The device packs a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Moreover, the screen supports 400-nits of peak brightness.
The device is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps
The Redmi 10 is equipped with a dual camera arrangement on the rear, comprising a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2MP portrait sensor, paired with an LED flash unit. On the front, it has a 5MP (f/2.0) shooter for selfies. Both the front and rear cameras are capable of filming in 1080p at 30fps.
The device supports 18W fast-charging
The Redmi 10 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 processor and comes in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants. It runs on the latest MIUI 13, built on top of Android 11 operating system. The handset draws power from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast-charging via the Type-C port. Connectivity options include dual-SIMs, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Redmi 10 carries a price-tag of Rs. 10,999 for the base 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 12,999 for the 6GB/128GB model. The sale of the handset will start today at 12pm onward via Mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart, and select offline stores. It can be purchased in three different color options, namely Midnight Black, Caribbean Green, and Pacific Blue.
