Red Magic 6 series' global launch set for April 9
Nubia's latest gaming smartphones, the Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro will be launched in the global markets on April 9. To recall, the line-up was announced in China earlier this month. The duo has set a new benchmark for gaming smartphones with its ultra-smooth 165Hz screen refresh rate, super-responsive 500Hz touch input rate, up to 120Hz fast-charging technology, and more. The handsets house an AMOLED display
The Nubia Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro feature a conventional rectangular screen with slim bezels and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the rear, they pack a triple camera unit. The handsets bear a 6.8-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 165Hz refresh rate. Globally, they will be available in Eclipse Black and Moon Silver color options.
The duo has a 64MP main camera
The Nubia Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro house a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.0) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. Up front, there is an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper.
Under the hood, they run on Android 11
The global variants of Red Magic 6 series will draw power from a Snapdragon 888 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The vanilla model packs a 5,050mAh battery with 66W fast-charging while the Pro variant has a 4,500mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support. The duo boots Android 11 and offers support for the latest connectivity options.
Red Magic 6 series: Pricing and availability
According to GSMArena, the Red Magic 6 and 6 Pro will carry a price-tag of $599 (roughly Rs. 43,400) and $699 (approximately Rs. 50,700), respectively. They will be up for pre-ordering starting April 9 and will go on sale from April 15 onwards.
