Red-colored Redmi Note 5 Pro may launch in India today
Xiaomi is expected to launch a red-colored Redmi smartphone in India today, according to official teasers. Notably, the company recently launched a Flame Red color variant of Redmi Note 5 in China. And considering Redmi Note 5 is rebranded as Redmi Note 5 Pro in India, the latter may get unveiled in a new red color. Here are the finer details.

Recalling the 'fastest Redmi Note phone ever'
The Redmi Note 5 Pro features a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ display with a unibody metal design, a massive 4,000mAh battery and runs MIUI 9 on top of Android Nougat. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM options and 64GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset makes it the "fastest Redmi Note ever".

In India, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold variants. In terms of pricing, the phone costs Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant, and Rs. 16,999 for the higher-end 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant.
Redmi Note 5 Pro features iPhone X-like dual rear camera
In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture primary sensor and a 5-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture secondary sensor. On the front, the smartphone gets a stunning 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor along with a LED selfie-light module. Moreover, Xiaomi's upcoming MIUI 10 will introduce AI-based Portrait mode and add the ability to record 1080p videos at 60fps.
