India's first 5G phone will be priced around Rs. 50,000
Realme's upcoming flagship smartphone, the X50 Pro 5G, will be a premium offering. A company official has told news agency PTI that the handset is likely to cost around Rs. 50,000. Interestingly, Realme is set to become one of the first brands to introduce a 5G handset in India even though the "network is not available in the country," according to the official.
The phone will feature a dual punch-hole design, 90Hz display
Realme has already confirmed some of the key features of the X50 Pro 5G. The handset will look a lot like the standard X50 model that went official in China last month, featuring a pill-shaped punch-hole design, bezels, glass body, and a vertically stacked quad-camera module. The Pro model will also sport a Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate support.
The rear camera will support 20x zoom
Thanks to official teasers, we know Realme's flagship will offer a quad-lens rear camera with 20x zoom support and a dual-lens selfie snapper. However, the details of these sensors remain unknown as of now. For reference, the vanilla X50 comes with a 64MP main sensor, 12MP telephoto lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP+8MP camera setup.
Under the hood
The Realme X50 Pro will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset and support dual 5G mode. As for memory and storage options, it should offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone will also support 65W SuperDart Charge fast-charging technology. Finally, it will come in Rust Red and Moss Green color variants.
The phone will be announced on February 24
Realme will announce the X50 Pro 5G on February 24 via live streaming. Notably, the handset will not remain confined to China. According to reports, the handset will see a global release and will be launched in key markets like Europe and India.
