0-100% in 5-minutes! Realme unveils 320W smartphone charging tech
Realme has unveiled its revolutionary 320W SuperSonic Charge technology, setting a new global standard for smartphone charging speed. The company claims that this groundbreaking tech can fully charge a smartphone battery in under five minutes. To be exact, just four minutes and 30 seconds. This rapid charging capability has been termed a "four-minute miracle" by Realme, likening the duration to brewing a cup of coffee or playing a single song.
Realme's 320W SuperSonic Charge outperforms Redmi's 300W tech
The 320W SuperSonic Charge technology surpasses Redmi's 300W charging tech, which takes slightly longer at four minutes and 55 seconds to fully charge a 4,000mAh battery. However, Realme has not disclosed the cell size used in its tests with the new technology. The power adapter for this innovative charging tech is named "Pocket Cannon," and boasts a power density of 3.3W/cm3 while maintaining a similar size to Realme's previous 240W charger.
Pocket Cannon supports mainstream charging protocols
The Pocket Cannon is compatible with mainstream charging protocols including UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC. It also features two USB-C ports for simultaneous charging - one delivering 150W for Realme smartphones and another providing 65W for compatible laptops. This versatility enhances the user experience by allowing multiple devices to be charged at once.
Realme introduces 'AirGap' voltage transformer for safer charging
To ensure a safe charging experience, Realme has introduced the "AirGap" Voltage Transformer. This compact device, smaller than a fingertip, uses contact-free electromagnetic conversion to keep high voltage isolated from the battery during potential faults like circuit breakdowns. It also reduces the voltage to 20V to safeguard the battery and maintain "exceptional conversion efficiency and thermal management," enabling the 320W SuperSonic Charge tech to reach a power efficiency of approximately 98%.
Realme unveils new 4,420mAh folded battery and smartphone features
Alongside the 320W SuperSonic Charge, Realme also launched a new 4,420mAh folded battery. This innovative design incorporates four cells, each less than 3mm thick, and offers a 10% capacity increase compared to traditional designs. The company also showcased a solid-state button with sliding functionality for seamless operation on smartphones and an anti-reflective display that reduces reflections by up to 80%, providing comfortable viewing in bright sunlight while minimizing power consumption.
Realme introduces AI technologies for enhanced user experience
Realme also introduced AI Motion Picture technology and AI Gaming Super Resolution at the event. The former, powered by NEXT AI, can transform a single image into a dynamic 25-frame video. The latter uses on-device AI to deliver smooth, clear visuals for an improved gaming experience. Additionally, Realme Holo Audio was unveiled that allows users to adjust sound positioning so incoming call alerts do not disrupt their gaming focus.
