Realme U1 gets another price cut, starts at Rs. 9,999

Realme has again slashed the prices of its budget-friendly smartphone, the Realme U1, in India.
The selfie-focused device has received a price cut of up to Rs. 1,500 and is now up for grabs at a starting amount of Rs. 9,999.
Notably, the new prices are already reflecting on both Realme e-store as well as Amazon.

Pricing
Previously, Realme U1 prices were revised in February
Originally, the Realme U1 was priced at Rs. 11,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant.
However, in February, its prices were revised, bringing down the cost of the 3GB/32GB model to Rs. 10,999 and the 4GB/64GB model to Rs. 13,499.
With the recent price cut, the 3GB/32GB variant now costs Rs. 9,999 while the 4GB/64GB variant costs Rs. 11,999.
Design and display
Meanwhile, let's recall the Realme U1
In terms of design, the Realme U1 looks a lot like Realme 2 Pro.
Up front, the phone sports a Dewdrop notched display with a slim bottom chin. On the back, there's a dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner housed in a polycarbonate casing.
Further, Realme U1 features a 6.3-inch (1080x2340 pixels) full-HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection.

In terms of optics, the Realme U1 sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) main sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, paired with LED flash.
Up front, the phone features a 25MP (f/2.0) Sony IMX576 sensor which can detect 296 facial detection points and offers AI-based features such as Night shot brightness for bokeh effect and beautification.

The Realme U1 is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor, paired with ARM G72 GPU, 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB).
It runs Android Oreo 8.1-based ColorOS 5.2 OS and packs a 3,500mAh battery.
Further, the phone comes with standard sensors and connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
