Realme U1 with 25MP selfie camera launched for Rs. 11,999
Realme has launched its latest mid-range smartphone, the Realme U1, in India today. The phone retains the design language of Realme 2 Pro, but comes with improved internals and a powerful 25MP selfie camera. The Realme U1 comes at a starting price of Rs. 11,999 and will go on sale from December 5 at 12pm via Amazon. Here's everything to know about it.
Realme U1: At a glance
In terms of design, the Realme U1 looks a lot like Realme 2 Pro. Up front, the phone sports a Dewdrop notched display with a slim bottom chin. On the back, there's a dual-rear camera setup and a fingerprint scanner housed in a polycarbonate casing. Further, Realme U1 features a 6.3-inch (1080x2340 pixels) full-HD+ display with 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection.

In terms of optics, the Realme U1 sports a dual rear-camera comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) main sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, paired with LED flash. Up front, the phone features a 25MP (f/2.0) Sony IMX576 sensor with 296 facial detection points and AI-based features such as Night shot brightness for better, bokeh effect and beautification.

The Realme U1 is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 processor, paired with ARM G72 GPU, 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable upto 256GB) It runs Android Oreo 8.1-based ColorOS 5.2 OS and packs a 3,500mAh battery. Further, the phone comes with standard sensors and connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Realme U1, available in Ambitious Black, Brave Blue, and Fiery Gold colors, costs Rs. 11,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant. It will go on sale from December 5 at 12pm via Amazon. Further, buyers can avail a 5% cashback on SBI cards, no-cost EMIs, and cashback benefits worth upto Rs. 5,750 and upto 4.2TB data from Jio.
