Making its budget phones even more affordable, Realme has slashed the prices of Realme U1 in India. The selfie-focused smartphone has received a permanent price cut of up to Rs. 1,500 and now retails at a starting price of Rs. 10,999. Both variants of Realme U1 have received the price cut
The Realme U1 3GB/32GB variant has received a price revision of Rs. 1,000 and is now available for Rs. 10,999. Further, the 4GB/64GB model, which was launched last December for Rs. 14,999, now costs Rs. 13,499 in India.
Realme U1: At a glance
In terms of design, the Realme U1 looks a lot like Realme 2 Pro. Up front, the phone sports a Dewdrop notched display with a slim bottom chin. On the back, there's a dual-rear camera setup and a fingerprint scanner housed in a polycarbonate casing. Further, Realme U1 features a 6.3-inch (1080x2340 pixels) full-HD+ display with 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection.

In terms of optics, the Realme U1 sports a dual rear-camera comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) main sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, paired with LED flash. Up front, the phone features a 25MP (f/2.0) Sony IMX576 sensor which can detect 296 facial detection points and offers AI-based features such as Night shot brightness for bokeh effect and beautification.

The Realme U1 is powered by MediaTek Helio P70 processor, paired with ARM G72 GPU, 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable upto 256GB) It runs Android Oreo 8.1-based ColorOS 5.2 OS and packs a 3,500mAh battery. Further, the phone comes with standard sensors and connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
