#LeakPeek: Realme TV could come with a 43-inch LED display
Realme is actively diversifying its product portfolio, and the latest product to be launched under the brand will be a smart television. An alleged Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) listing has confirmed the presence of a Realme TV. The listing has also revealed that the upcoming television will sport an LED screen, and will be offered in a 43-inch size.
What do we know from the listing
The BIS listing confirms that Realme TV has received the mandatory regulatory certification required for a new electronic product (before being launched in India). As per the details mentioned in the listing, the television has a model name "Realme TV 43" and it will feature an LED display. The naming scheme indicates that the upcoming product will be offered in a 43-inch size.
But, we may also see a 55-inch Realme TV
The BIS certificate also reveals a model number "JSC55LSQL" wherein the number '55' could be representative of a bigger 55-inch Realme TV variant. Evidently, the company is working to launch its smart television in multiple screen sizes.
Expectations: 4K display and Android TV OS support
At present, hardware details about the upcoming Realme TV are pretty scarce. However, looking at the rivals, we can expect Realme's smart television to offer up to 4K resolution and high-quality sound with Dolby Audio support. Under the hood, we expect it to run on Android TV OS and offer support for Google Assistant as well as Google Chromecast.
When will Realme TV be launched?
In February, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth had confirmed that the brand would launch its smart televisions in the second quarter of the year. However, given the ongoing lockdown in the country, we can expect the new TVs to arrive by April-end or early-May.
