Realme Race could arrive in India as Realme GT
Realme is gearing up to launch its Race model in China in the coming weeks. In the latest development, a trademark application spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma has revealed that Realme Race could arrive in India as Realme GT. Recently leaked TENAA images have already confirmed that the handset will have a punch-hole display, a glossy body, and a triple rear camera module.
Realme GT: At a glance
The Realme GT will feature a punch-hole cut-out display with slim bezels, an integrated fingerprint sensor, and a glossy body. On the rear, it will house a rectangular triple camera module. The handset is likely to come with a 6.8-inch QHD+ (1440x3200 pixels) OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a 160Hz refresh rate.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Realme GT will house a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP primary sensor and two other sensors, details of which are unclear right now. Up front, it is tipped to sport a 32MP selfie snapper.
Under the hood
The Realme GT will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It is likely to run on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with 125W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the smartphone should offer support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a Type-C port.
Pricing and availability
Currently, there is no information regarding Realme GT's launch in India. However, its Chinese counterpart, the Realme Race, is said to go official after February 12. As for the pocket-pinch, the handset is likely to be priced at around Rs. 55,000.
