Realme Narzo 50 to debut in India on February 24
Realme is gearing up to launch a new Narzo series handset, the Narzo 50, in India. And, in the latest development, the company has announced that the phone will make its debut on February 24. The device maker has also confirmed the handset will be backed by a MediaTek Helio G96 chip. It will be available for purchase via Amazon India.
Why does this story matter?
Counterpoint's Q4 2021 data revealed Realme is the second-largest smartphone brand in India. A look at its February activities shows that Realme is not going down anytime soon. After introducing the 9 Pro series earlier this week, it is set to launch the Narzo 50—a budget-range handset with premium features. So, it is safe to assume Realme is now gunning for that first position.
The handset may have a 120Hz display
The Realme Narzo 50 is expected to feature a left-aligned punch-hole cut-out, a noticeable bottom bezel, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will sport a triple camera unit. The handset may bear a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with either a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. It will be offered in Gray, Green, Speed Black, and Speed Blue color options.
It will flaunt a 50MP main camera
The Realme Narzo 50 will be equipped with a triple rear camera module, including a 50MP main shooter, a 2MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it will sport a 16MP selfie snapper.
A MediaTek Helio G96 chip will fuel the device
The Realme Narzo 50 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it may boot Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 and will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the handset should offer support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a Type-C port.
Realme Narzo 50: Pricing and availability
The official pricing and availability of the Realme Narzo 50 will be announced at the time of its launch on February 24. However, we expect it to start at around Rs. 16,000.
