Realme announces Android 10 update plan for these smartphones
Realme has announced the list of smartphones that are first in line to receive the latest Android 10 update, the next iteration of Google's mobile operating system. According to the company, as many as eight Realme phones will receive the upcoming Android update by the end of the third quarter next year. Read on for more information.
Detailing the Realme's Android 10 update release plan
As part of the first phase, Realme will roll out Android 10 update to the all-new Realme XT, Realme X, Realme 5 Pro, and Realme 3 Pro, sometime in the first quarter of 2020. In the second phase, Realme 3, Realme 5, and Realme 3i will receive the latest Android firmware by Q2 next year.
Realme 2 Pro will get the update in Q3 2020
Finally, the Realme 2 Pro will get the Android 10 update in the third quarter of next year. However, the likes of Realme U1, Realme C1 and Realme 1 may not get the new Android OS, given they are not included in the plan.
Separately, HMD Global has also revealed its Android 10 roadmap
Separately, HMD Global has also confirmed that it would release Android 10 to as many as 17 Nokia phones starting from Q4 this year. In the first phase, it will release the update for the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8.1, and the Nokia 7.1. In the second phase, it will be offered to ten other models in the first quarter of next year.

Like all annual upgrades, Android 10 packs a bunch of goodies including a system-wide dark mode, gestures improvements, and smart reply in notifications. The platform brings a Focus Mode to steer you away from distracting apps as well as Live Captions to show subtitles for any active video. Additionally, privacy settings have also been revamped, giving you more control over your data/information.
