Realme 2, Realme C1 price increased by upto Rs. 1,000
In a bid to cushion the impact of falling Indian rupee against the US dollar, Realme has increased the prices of Realme C1 and Realme 2 smartphones by up to Rs. 1,000. Realme CEO, Madhav Sheth had tweeted last Friday, hinting the company might have to "upgrade the pricing" of its smartphones because of the depreciating Indian rupee. Here are the finer details.

The Realme 2 (3GB RAM/32GB storage variant) has received a price-hike of Rs. 500 and will now retail for Rs. 9,499. However, the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant has not gotten any price revision as of now and continues to sell for Rs. 10,990. Likewise, the price of Realme C1 has been increased to Rs. 7,999 as against its launch price of Rs. 6,999.

The Realme 2 features a 6.2-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) display, a 13MP+2MP dual rear-camera setup, and an 8MP selfie snapper. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB). Under the hood, the phone packs a 4,230mAh battery, supports dual-SIM (Nano) cards and runs Android Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1.
