Realme GT 2 Pro's India launch set for April 7
Realme will introduce its flagship GT 2 Pro model in India on April 7, a now-deleted teaser image shared by the company on Twitter has revealed. We do not know why the post was deleted. Either, the company did not plan to make the launch date public just yet or there have been some change in plans.
Why does this story matter?
The Realme GT 2 Pro is already available in the global markets. However, India is yet to receive the device. Realme has been releasing teasers for the handset but nothing explains why the current teaser was removed. From what we know so far, the GT 2 Pro will debut in India on April 7 at 12:30pm until we hear otherwise from the company.
The handset sports a 120Hz AMOLED display
The Realme GT 2 Pro has an 'environmentally sustainable' design as it is made from eco-friendly biopolymer. It has a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner, slim bezels, and an in-display fingerprint reader. On the rear, there is a triple camera setup. The phone bears a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) AMOLED screen with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
It can shoot 8K videos at 30fps
The GT 2 Pro has a triple rear camera setup that comprises a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP ultra-macro sensor with 40x zoom support. The device also has a dual-LED flash. Up front, it packs a 32MP (f/2.4) snapper for selfies. The device is capable of shooting 8K videos at 30fps via the rear camera.
It supports 65W fast-charging
The Realme GT 2 Pro is fueled by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and boots Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 skin baked on top. It comes in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants in the international market. The Indian market is likely to receive the same models. The device draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which supports 65W fast-charging.
