Realme Buds Air: Expected price, features, specs, and launch date
What's the story
Realme has started teasing the arrival of its first-ever truly wireless earphones, the Realme Buds Air, in India. The much-awaited accessory will be launched in the country on December 17, alongside the Realme XT 730G.
The company has also activated a microsite for the Buds Air, revealing its AirPods-like design, highlight features, and some of the key specifications.
Here's all about it.
Design
Realme Buds Air looks like another AirPods clone
According to teaser images, the Realme Buds Air looks like just another AirPods clone with an in-ear design, glossy-looking plastic body, and a metallic ring at the bottom.
However, its built would be better than cheap Chinese fakes that are available on e-commerce websites for around Rs. 1,000.
The earbuds will come in Yellow, White, and Black colors with a matching carry-cum-charging case.
Information
Realme Buds Air will support touch gestures
The truly-wireless Realme Buds Air will support "Intelligent Touch Controls" that will help control music and calls by touching on the side of the earbud. However, it's unclear if the Buds Air will support only tap gestures or slide gestures for controlling volume.
Specs
All the key specs we know so far
The Realme Buds Air will come with 12mm Bass Boost driver that is touted to offer an "incredible sound quality". However, it remains to be seen if the earbuds will support newer Bluetooth codes like Qualcomm's aptX, aptX HD, or Sony's LDAC wireless audio tech.
Further, the Realme Buds Air will come with built-in Google Assistant, Bluetooth 5.0, and offer easy pairing with smartphones.
Battery life
Realme Buds Air should offer upto 5 hours of playtime
Realme has not shared any details about the battery life of the upcoming Buds Air. But, we can expect the earbuds to offer around 5-hours of playtime on a single charge while the carry case should supplement additional juice.
Moreover, it's unclear if the earphones will support any kind of fast-charging tech that comes handy for a quick top-up.
Information
Realme Buds Air to cost Rs. 5,000?
The pricing details of the Buds Air will be revealed on December 17 itself. However, the Internet (essentially Twitter), is abuzz with expected prices. Tipster Ishan Agarwal guesses the earbuds will cost Rs. 4,999 while some others say it could be priced around Rs. 3,000.
