Realme 9 5G series launched in India at Rs. 15,000
Realme has launched the 9 5G series, comprising the standard 9 5G and 9 5G SE handsets, in India. The line-up starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB model of the vanilla 9 5G. The devices will go on sale on March 14 via Realme's official website, Flipkart, and retail outlets. ICICI Bank cardholders can get up to Rs. 2,000 discount as well.

Within a month after the introduction of the 9 Pro series, Realme has arrived in India with two more 9 series phones. The 9 5G and 9 5G SE (or Speed Edition) are cheaper alternatives to the 9 Pro+. These latest additions add to the company's 5G arsenal. They also show the country's second-largest smartphone maker's clear intention to rise to the top.
Realme 9 5G SE features a 144Hz LCD display
The Realme 9 5G series features a left-aligned punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The vanilla 9 5G and 9 5G SE bear a 6.5-inch and 6.6-inch Full-HD+ LCD display, respectively, with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. They offer a 90Hz and 144Hz refresh rate, respectively. They are offered in Meteor Black, Stargaze White, Starry Glow, and Azure Glow color options.
They boast a 48MP main camera
The Realme 9 5G and 9 5G SE flaunt a triple rear camera setup, including a 48MP main shooter, a 2MP monochrome portrait sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Up front, they sport a 16MP selfie snapper.
A MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip powers the Realme 9 5G
The Realme 9 5G and 9 5G SE are fueled by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 and Snapdragon 778G SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The former packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support, while the latter houses a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging capability, They run on Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0.

The Realme 9 5G is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 17,499 for the 6GB/128GB variant. The 9 5G SE costs Rs. 19,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant and Rs. 22,999 for the 8GB/128GB model. Their sale begins on March 14.
