Realme 9 4G's India launch set for April 7
Realme is gearing up to launch a new 9 series handset, the 9 4G, in India. In the latest development, the company has confirmed that the phone will be introduced at a launch event on April 7. The same event will see the introduction of other products such as Realme GT 2 Pro, Buds Air 3 TWS, and smart TV stick.
Why does this story matter?
Since launching the 9i in January, Realme has so far introduced five 9-series handsets in India. If you assumed that the company stopped there, you couldn't be more wrong. With the 9 4G slated to debut on April 7, it seems that the company is not yet ready to bid farewell to the 9-series. But who knows, this may be the last one.
The smartphone is tipped to feature a 120Hz LCD display
The Realme 9 4G will feature a punch-hole design with slim bezels and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will sport a triple camera unit with an LED flash. The handset is expected to bear a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to be offered in Sunburst Gold, Meteor Black, and Stargaze White color options.
It will flaunt a 108MP main camera
The Realme 9 4G will be equipped with a triple rear camera arrangement, comprising a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary shooter and two unspecified sensors. It will have 9x focusing accuracy. Up front, the phone will sport a 16MP selfie snapper.
It could be fueled by a MediaTek Helio G96 chip
The Realme 9 4G is said to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it may boot Android 11-based Realme UI and will house a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity, the handset will offer support for 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a Type-C port.
What about the pricing and availability?
The official pricing and availability details of the Realme 9 4G will be announced at the time of its launch on April 7. However, we expect it to be priced under Rs. 15,000.
