Realme 6 series smartphones to be launched on March 5
Chinese tech giant Realme is all set to launch its new budget-friendly 6 series of smartphones in India on March 5. Francis Wang, CMO of Realme India, has hinted that the upcoming handsets will be pricier than the Realme 5 series models. Besides that, the company has already confirmed that the handsets will offer a punch-hole design, 90Hz display, and 30W fast-charging support.
How they will look like?
Both the Realme 6 and 6 Pro models are likely to offer an in-trend edge-to-edge screen with a pill-shaped cut-out at the top left corner. On the rear, they will house a quad camera setup and gradient-finished design. Further, the mid-budget smartphones will offer a full-HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure authentication.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
On the imaging front, the quad-lens rear camera setup on the Realme 6 series smartphones will comprise a mighty 64MP primary sensor, coupled with an ultra-wide-angle sensor, a telephoto lens, and another utra-macro lens. Up front, the handsets will house a dual selfie camera but the details about the sensors are unknown at the moment.
Under the hood
The Realme 6 Pro will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 720G processor, while the Realme 6 is expected to feature a MediaTek Helio G90 chipset. The smartphones will run on Android 10-based Realme UI 1.0 and will pack a long-lasting battery with 30W fast-charging support. As for memory options, these handsets will offer up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
And, what will be the pricing?
Going by the reports and Francis's tweet, the Realme 6 Series phones will be slightly pricier than the Realme 5 models. The Pro model is likely to be priced around Rs. 15,999, while the standard variant could cost somewhere around 10,999. However, the official details will be revealed by the company at the launch event itself, which is set to happen on March 5.
