Realme 6 Pro to get a new color variant
Realme is working on launching a new "Lightning Purple" variant of its recently-launched handset, the Realme 6 Pro. Madhav Sheth, CEO of Realme India, has confirmed in the latest episode of "Ask Madhav" that the new color variant will be launched in India soon. Reportedly, the phone would hit Indian shelves after the 21-day lockdown that has been imposed to control the coronavirus pandemic.
Realme 6 Pro: At a glance
The upcoming "Lighting Purple" variant of the Realme 6 Pro will join the already available "Lighting Blue" and "Lightning Orange" color models. The handset comes with a dual punch-hole design and features a 6.6-inch LCD screen with a Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Plus, it houses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
In terms of optics, the Realme 6 Pro houses a quad-lens rear camera setup comprising a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 12MP (f/2.5) telephoto lens, an 8MP (f/2.3) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera. For the selfie lovers, the front-facing dual punch-hole cut-out houses a 16MP (f/2.1) primary sensor and another 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens.

The Realme 6 Pro is fueled by a Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, the phone runs Android 10-based Realme UI and packs a 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. The standard connectivity options on the phone include dual-SIM (Nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VoLTE, Type-C port, and a headphone jack.
Finally, what about pricing?
As for the pocket-pinch, the "Lightning Purple" variant of the Realme 6 Pro is likely to arrive at the same price as the other models. The handset starts at Rs. 16,999 for the entry-level 6GB/64GB model and goes up to Rs. 18,999 for the top-end 8GB/128GB variant. At this price point, it competes against POCO X2 and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
