Realme 5s, with quad rear cameras, launched at Rs. 10,000
After several leaks and teasers, Chinese tech giant Realme has launched the Realme 5s smartphone in India today. The budget-friendly handset comes as an upgraded version of the existing Realme 5 and starts at Rs. 9,999. The key highlights of the phone include its 48MP quad rear cameras, gradient design, a physical fingerprint reader, and a solid 5,000mAh battery. Here's everything about it.
Realme 5s: At a glance
Realme 5s features a familiar waterdrop notched design with an ultra-slim bezel at the bottom. On the rear, the gradient finished panel with diamond-cut design houses a vertically stacked quad camera unit with LED flash and a physical fingerprint scanner. The handset offers a 6.5-inch LCD display with an HD+ (720x1600 pixels) resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 3+ protection.

The Realme 5s offers a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, along with an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) dedicated macro camera, and another 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, it houses a 13MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper. The main camera can record 4K videos at 30fps, while the selfie snapper supports 1080p video recording at 30fps.

The Realme 5s is powered by a Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of expandable storage. Under the hood, the phone runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 and packs a solid 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast-charging support. In addition, it offers all latest connectivity options such as dual-SIMs (Nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Realme 5s costs Rs. 9,999 for the entry-level 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 10,999 for the variant with 4GB/128GB configuration. The handset will go on sale in India starting 12pm on November 29 via Flipkart and Realme's official website. As for launch offers, buyers can avail no-cost EMI options and Reliance Jio benefits worth upto Rs. 7,000.
