Chinese tech giant Realme has launched the Realme 5 Pro and Realme 5 as the first-ever budget-segment smartphones to offer a quad-lens rear camera. Both models share the same waterdrop notched design. However, they differ in terms of display, cameras, and internal specifications. In India, the Realme 5 series starts at Rs. 9,999. Realme 5 Pro: Price starts at Rs. 13,999
The Realme 5 Pro sports a waterdrop notched design up front, while on the rear it houses a quad camera setup and a physical fingerprint scanner. The smartphone features a 6.3-inch LCD display with full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. Powering the handset is a Snapdragon 712 chipset, upto 8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, and 4,035mAh battery with 20W fast-charging support.
Realme 5 Pro: For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The Realme 5 Pro comes with a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, the phone sports 16MP (f/2.0) selfie shooter. Further, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the selfie camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

Notably, Realme 5 shares its design with the Pro model. The handset comes with a bigger 6.5-inch display with HD+ (720x1600 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset, paired with upto 4GB RAM and upto 128GB of internal storage. Under the hood, it packs a solid 5,000mAh battery with 10W fast-charging support.
What's the camera like on Realme 5?
The Realme 5 also comes with quad rear cameras comprising a 12MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) sensor to capture depth details. The main camera offers features such as HDR, panorama, portrait mode, and is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 13MP front-facing snapper.

Both the Realme 5 Pro and Realme 5 offer latest connectivity options including support for dual-SIMs (Nano), VoLTE, dual-band Wi-FI, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port (micro-USB port for Realme 5), and 3.5mm headphone jack. Further, both handsets run on Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.
