Realme 5 series, with 48MP quad-camera, launching on August 20
Realme is all set to launch two new camera-centric smartphones in India on August 20. Dubbed as Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro, both handsets are likely to come with quad rear cameras, waterdrop notched screens and mid-level internals. Separately, 91Mobiles has also tipped the pricing of Realme 5, claiming it will start at Rs. 8,999. Here's everything to know.
Realme 5, Realme 5 Pro: Design and display
According to leaks and reports, both the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro will feature a waterdrop notched screen. On the rear, the polycarbonate body will sport a gradient design and pack quad cameras. The regular Realme 5 is tipped to come with an HD+ LCD display while the Pro model may offer a full-HD+ AMOLED screen with an integrated fingerprint sensor.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Reportedly, the Realme 5 will feature a 16MP main sensor while the Pro model is said to offer a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor. Further, both handsets are likely to offer a secondary ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degrees field-of-view, a macro lens with a focal length of 4cm, and depth sensor for advanced bokeh effects. Upfront, both phones will offer a single front-facing camera.
Under the hood
The standard Realme 5 is rumored to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset while the Pro model could get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor. We also expect to see up to 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage, depending on the model Lastly, both handsets will run Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 and should offer all the latest connectivity options as well as sensors.
Realme 5 series tipped to start at Rs. 8,999
Citing industry sources, 91Mobiles has claimed that Realme 5 will come at a starting price of Rs. 8,999, the same price as Realme 3i. Moreover, going by the rumored specs, the Pro model could arrive around Rs. 15,000.
