Realme 3 to launch on March 4: Details here
As a successor to the popular Realme 2 budget smartphone, Realme will launch the Realme 3 in India today i.e. March 4. In the run-up to the launch, the company has teased several key features of the phone including a waterdrop notched display, dual rear cameras, MediaTek P70 chipset, and a 4,230mAh battery. So, here's a roundup of everything we know so far.
Realme 3: At a glance
According to official teasers, Realme 3 will sport a Dewdrop display - the company's name for a waterdrop-like notch. On the back, the phone will have a vertically-stacked dual camera setup, a fingerprint sensor, 3D curved unibody design, and a gradient finish. We also expect to see an upgraded full-HD+ display as compared to the 6.2-inch HD+ screen on the Realme 2.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
Thanks to a string of teasers, we know Realme 3 will sport dual rear cameras and a single selfie snapper. However, while we don't know the specifications of the cameras, we do know that the phone will offer several photography centric features. Realme has already teased Nightshot feature for improved low-light images and Chroma Boost for enhanced color representation.
Under the hood
Realme 3 will be powered by MediaTek P70 chipset and is expected to come with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage which will be expandable via microSD card. Further, the company has also confirmed that the phone will run Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 and pack a 4,230mAh battery.
Pricing and availability
Considering Realme 2 was launched at a starting price of Rs. 8,990, we can expect the company to offer Realme 3 under Rs. 10,000 price band. Notably, this pricing will also help the company take on new budget entrants like the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and Redmi Note 7. As for availability, details are evasive.
