Realme 3 Pro will launch in India on April 22
Taking on Redmi Note 7 Pro in the mid-range segment, Realme is set to launch Realme 3 Pro in India on April 22. The company has already started sending invites for the event which will be hosted at Delhi University starting 12:30 pm. The phone is expected to feature a full-HD+ display, premium body, 48MP rear camera, and mid-level internals. Here's our roundup.
Realme 3: At a glance
While we know Realme 3 Pro is arriving soon, details about this smartphone are scarce as of now. However, considering it will take on Redmi Note 7 Pro in India, we expect the phone to feature a similar design but with a higher resolution display and premium build quality. Hence, a full-HD+ display, all-glass body, and gradient design are surely on the cards.
Realme 3 Pro likely to offer a 48MP rear camera
To recall, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had confirmed, in January, that the company is developing a smartphone with a 48MP camera sensor. However, given Realme 3 didn't get this mighty sensor, we are certain that the 'Pro' model will house a 48MP rear camera. Up front, we can expect it to house a 13MP camera - same as Realme 3 and Note 7 Pro.
Under the hood
Further, Sheth has also teased the gaming-focused hardware of Realme 3 Pro, claiming it would be the first-in-segment to support Fortnite. He said, "Tried to play this game on some latest 'Pro' devices but none of them could manage. When it comes to speed, chipset matters." Hence, we can expect it to feature a more capable chipset than Redmi Note 7 Pro's Snapdragon 675.
Realme 3 Pro likely to be priced under Rs. 15,000
Clearly, Realme 3 Pro is slated to arrive as an upgrade to the regular variant. But considering that the phone would compete against Redmi Note 7 Pro, it is expected to be priced aggressively - somewhere under Rs. 15,000. To recall, Redmi Note 7 Pro costs Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB model and Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant.
