OPPO's Realme 1 smartphone launched for Rs. 8,990
OPPO owned Realme brand has launched its first smartphone Realme 1 in India. The phone is priced at Rs. 13,990 for the 6GB RAM/128GB variant and at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant. In a month, the company will also launch a 4GB RAM/64GB variant for Rs. 10,990. The "Made in India" smartphone will be sold exclusively via Amazon from May 25.
Realme 1 features diamond-like back panel
One of the USP's of the phone is that, on the back, it sports a glossy shell with a polygonal design, giving a diamond-like reflective effect on the cover. Notably, a similar back panel was spotted on the OPPO F7 Black Diamond and OPPO A3.
6.0-inch display, 13MP camera, 3,410mAh battery
The Realme 1 features a 6.0-inch full HD+ LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 3,410mAh battery, 13MP primary camera, and 8MP front camera. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor and runs ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone has a triple SIM slot and it comes in moonlight silver, diamond black, and solar red colors.
AI battery management, AR stickers, security features
The phone features AI battery management that can automatically close background apps that aren't in use. Its security features allow users to hide apps and set passwords on them. The smartphone has sustained 10,000 drop tests, 1,00,000 button tests and 10,000 USB tests. Its AI-powered camera can recognize 296 facial spots and features support for Bokeh mode and AR stickers.
Realme 1 brings Face Unlock, skips fingerprint sensor
The Realme 1 smartphone does not come with a fingerprint sensor and relies on face and passcode/pattern unlock. With face unlock, it takes less than 0.1 seconds to open. The phone comes with a free screen guard and case. Jio users can get a discount of up to Rs. 4,850 on the smartphone. There is also a 5% cashback on using an SBI card.
