Qualcomm has unveiled its latest Snapdragon G Series chipsets, designed specifically for handheld gaming devices.
The new lineup consists of the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3, Snapdragon G2 Gen 2, and Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 platforms.
These cutting-edge chipsets will power a range of Android gaming handhelds, promising improved performance, better graphics quality, and enhanced connectivity features.

Snapdragon G3 Gen 3: A gaming powerhouse
The Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 is the most powerful option in the new lineup.
Although it doesn't include Qualcomm's latest Oryon CPU or Adreno 830 GPU, it comes with major upgrades over its predecessor.
Qualcomm promises a 30% increase in CPU performance and 28% boost in graphics power over the previous G3 chip.
Plus, the chipset supports Lumen, Unreal Engine 5's lighting and reflections system, making it the first Snapdragon G Series processor to do so.
Enhanced capabilities
Snapdragon G2 Gen 2: A leap in performance
Designed for gaming/cloud gaming, the Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 replaces the previous generation with significant upgrades.
According to Qualcomm, the new chip offers up to 2.3 times better CPU performance and up to 3.8 times faster GPU performance, thanks to its switch to the Adreno A22 GPU.
The G2 Gen 2 also supports QHD+ at 144Hz display resolution and offers Wi-Fi 7 for lower latency, smoother online gameplay experiences.
Cloud gaming focus
Snapdragon G1 Gen 2: Targeted at entry-level devices
The Snapdragon G1 Gen 2 is tailor-made for entry-level handhelds targeting cloud gaming.
It provides a remarkable upgrade over the G1 Gen 1, with Qualcomm claiming an 80% boost in CPU performance and 25% more GPU power.
The G1 Gen 2 also supports up to FHD+ resolution at a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, doubling the refresh rate over its predecessor.
Device lineup
Upcoming devices to feature new Snapdragon G Series chips
Qualcomm has confirmed that many upcoming handheld gaming devices will be powered by the new G Series chips.
The Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 will power Ayaneo's Pocket S2 and Gaming Pad and OneXPlayer's OneXSugar.
The Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 will debut inside Retroid's next-generation handheld, probably the Retroid Pocket 6.
