#GamingBytes: PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 getting helicopters, rocket launchers, more
PUBG Mobile is set to get even more exciting. The game recently received a new zombie mode, and now, Tencent, the company behind the famous battle royale title, has confirmed that Update 0.15.0 is on the way. It will bring a new 'Payload Mode' that would let you fly helicopters or use heavy artillery like rocket/grenade launchers. Here's all about the update.
New Payload Mode coming with Update 0.15.0
While we all expected Tencent to release Update 0.14.5 as a follow up to the last release (0.14.0) that brought the 'Infection mode' for playing as zombies, PUBG Mobile's official Instagram account has teased Update 0.15.0. It said that the version would bring a 'Payload Mode', seemingly indicating that this would be the next big update for the game.
What would be special in this mode?
From PUBG Mobile's teaser and the Chinese version of the game, which has already received the Payload Mode, we can safely say the feature would come as an added setting for Arcade Mode, along with War, Quick Game, Mini Zone. It would let you use Helicopters to find and take down enemies as well as rocket launchers and other heavy ground-based weapons.
RPG-7 likely to be the rocket launcher
PUBG Mobile hasn't shared much about the global version of Payload Mode, but reports indicate that the heavy weapons in this setting would include M3E1-A rocket launcher, the MGL and M79 grenade launchers, and RPG-7. Also, if the Chinese version of the payload setting is any indicator, the weapons will also have 4x scope and enemy locking functionality for taking down targets more quickly.
Royale Pass Season 9 coming on September 13
While it remains unclear when Update 0.15.0 would be released to the public, PUBG Mobile has confirmed that Royale Pass Season 9 is set to be rolled out on September 13. The season is likely to bring new Kar98K skin, helmet, and backpack skins and will be available in free, Elite and Elite Plus versions as usual.
