POCO M4 5G launched in India at Rs. 13,000

POCO has launched its latest budget offering, the M4 5G, in India.
As for the key highlights, the handset offers an LCD screen, dual rear cameras, a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, and a 5,000mAh battery.
It starts at Rs. 13,000 for its base configuration with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and will be up for grabs via Flipkart from May 5 onward.

Why does this story matter?
POCO is focusing on expanding its portfolio of M-series handsets in India. The M4 5G is the third smartphone in the line-up after M4 Pro 4G and the M4 Pro 5G, which were launched earlier this year.
The handset will compete against the likes of Moto G52, Redmi 10, Note 11, Vivo T1, and several other devices under the Rs. 15,000 category.

The display has a 240Hz touch sampling rate
The POCO M4 5G has a waterdrop notch design with noticeable bezels and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it sports a "Hypnotic Swirl" design and a rectangular camera unit.
The handset bears a 6.58-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also gets an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

The POCO M4 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera arrangement headlined by a 50MP (f/1.8) primary lens and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, the device has an 8MP (f/2.45) selfie shooter.

Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a Type-C port.

The POCO M4 5G costs Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB/128GB model. It will be available for purchase via Flipkart from May 5 onward in Cool Blue, Power Black, and POCO Yellow color variants.
