    What's the story

Piaggio India has launched the updated Aprilia SR 150, SR 150 Race, and SR 150 Carbon scooters in India.

The range now features new body graphics and retains the same engine that powered the outgoing model.

The Aprilia SR 150 is priced at Rs. 70,031 while the SR 150 Carbon and SR150 Race cost Rs. 73,500 and Rs. 80,211, respectively.

    Here's more.

    Styling

Aprilia SR 150: At a glance

Inspired by the company's flagship superbike RS-GP, the Aprilia SR 150 Race gets a new paint job in red, white and green.

Further, in terms of updates, the scooter now comes with a new windshield, a semi-digital console, adjustable shock absorbers, and red 14-inch alloy wheels.

Notably, the alloy wheels on the Aprilia SR 150 facelift and SR 150 Carbon are finished in black.

    Engine and power

    Under the hood

As mentioned before, the facelifted Aprilia has received no mechanical updates.

The scooter is powered by the 154.8 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that we have seen on the 2018 models of Aprilia SR 150.

The motor comes paired to a CVT unit and churns out a maximum power of 10.4 bhp and 11.4 Nm of peak torque.

    Details

    Brakes and suspension

The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and a hydraulic mono shock absorber at the rear.

For braking performance, the scooter gets a single-disc up front and a drum brake unit at the rear.

However, the updated Aprilia SR 150 does not come with ABS - a safety feature declared mandatory by the government in new norms applicable from April 2019.
