OnePlus 9, 9 Pro's latest update brings April security patch
OnePlus has started rolling out its fourth OxygenOS software update for its 9 and 9 Pro models. As per the changelog, the new firmware brings a range of improvements toward charging stability, temperature control stability, keyboard sensitivity, and the rear camera's white balance consistency, among others. It also introduces the latest April security patch and March 2021 Google Mobile Services (GMS) package.

The latest OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro carries build number 11.2.4.4 and has a download size of 349MB (9 Pro). It is currently being rolled out in batches via over-the-air (OTA) method and is expected to reach all the units soon.
The duo flaunts a 120Hz AMOLED display
The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro feature a punch-hole display with slim bezels and an integrated fingerprint sensor. On the rear, they house up to four cameras. The former has a 120Hz, 6.55-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED screen, whereas the Pro model bears a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) LTPO AMOLED panel. They are offered in three color options each.
They boast of a 50MP ultra-wide camera
OnePlus 9 sports a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) monochrome camera. The 9 Pro packs a similar camera module but with an additional 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens. On the front, they have a 16MP (f/2.4) selfie snapper.
They draw power from a Snapdragon 888 processor
OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are fueled by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. They run on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 and house a 4,500mAh battery with 65W wired fast-charging support. The 9 Pro also supports 50W wireless fast-charging. The duo offers support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and a Type-C port.
