You can now order from KFC with only one click
KFC India has decided to take the food and technology nexus to the next level. If you thought ordering food via a mobile app was convenient, you're about to be surprised. The fast food chain has come up with a "one-click button" which allows you order food with, well literally a click of a button. For now, it's only available to KFC's dedicated fan base.
How does the button work?
There are two sides to the functioning of the button. First, a user has to set up a favourite order list from the KFC website using their button id, a username, password, and their address. Once that is done, the button can be used to order from the closest KFC outlet without any hassle. The only requirement is a Wi-Fi connection.
Confirming a KFC order using the button
Once the button has been pressed, the users get a text on their mobile phones and have to confirm the order by sending SMS 1 to the specified number. This ensures that a KFC overload doesn't land up at your doorstep if your kid ends up pressing the button 200 times. So far, the only payment option is cash.
