OPPO Reno, with 10x zoom camera, to launch on April-24
OPPO Reno set to launch in China on April 10, will also be unveiled for the global audience this month. According to a report, the Chinese tech giant will globally release the flagship phone at an event in Zurich, Switzerland, on April 24. The camera-centric OPPO Reno is rumored to have a full-screen display, 10x zoom camera, and the in-trend 5G support. Here's more.
OPPO Reno: At a glance
In terms of design, the OPPO Reno is expected to sport an edge-to-edge display achieved by opting a one-of-a-kind pop-up camera. The phone will have an in-screen fingerprint sensor and triple cameras on the back. Furthermore, it will feature a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED screen with more than 91% screen-to-body ratio and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
As per reports, the OPPO Reno will pack a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, paired with an 8MP super wide-angle sensor and a 13MP periscope sensor that will enable 10x lossless zoom. Moreover, the phone is also expected to feature a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera housed in a novel, swiveling pop-up camera module.
Reno is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset
Under the hood, the OPPO Reno is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal memory. The phone is also likely to feature copper tube liquid cooling system to prevent overheating. Further, it's expected to house a 4,000mAh battery that will support fast battery charging and will run Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.
Connectivity options and sensor details
As per reports, the OPPO Reno will feature all basic connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, Hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, A2DP, LE, GPS/A-GPS, GALILEO and a USB Type-C port. Further, the phone will offer all standard sensors.
