OPPO's Reno Ace can be charged fully in 30 minutes
Chinese tech giant OPPO has launched its much-awaited flagship, the Reno Ace, in its home country. The key highlight of the phone is its 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast-charging technology, the fastest ever on any smartphone. Also, the 48MP quad rear cameras and 90Hz AMOLED display make it a complete package. Here's all about it.
OPPO Reno Ace: At a glance
The Reno Ace sports an edge-to-edge waterdrop notched design with ultra-slim top and bottom bezels. On the rear, the gradient finished glass panel houses a quad camera module. The handset comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. Further, it houses dual stereo speakers, and an under-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.

The OPPO Reno Ace houses a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, 13MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, there is a 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing snapper. Moreover, the main camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the selfie camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

The OPPO Reno Ace is powered by top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, coupled with upto 12GB RAM and upto 256GB of storage. The phone is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery with SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge (65W) fast-charging technology which can charge it fully in just 30 minutes. Also, the handset comes with support for USB-PD (USB Power Delivery) and Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology.
Connectivity options and operating system
The OPPO Reno Ace offers all latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, the phone runs on Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.1.
Finally, what is the pricing?
In China, the Reno Ace starts at CNY 3,199 (approximately Rs. 32,000) for the entry-level 8GB/128GB model and goes upto CNY 3,399 (approximately Rs. 34,000) for the 12GB/256GB variant. Meanwhile, the pre-orders for the phone are live, and it will be available for purchase in China October 16 onwards.
