OPPO Reno 3 Pro to be launched in India "soon"
OPPO Reno 3 Pro, the premium handset by Chinese tech giant which went official last year, is all set to hit the Indian shelves soon. In the latest development, Tasleem Arif, Vice President and R&D Head of OPPO India, has confirmed that the smartphone would be launched in India with 4G specifications and "Expert Camera Credentials". Here are the finer details.
First, the official confirmation
The India-specific Reno 3 Pro to offer dual punch-hole design
Unlike the China-specific Reno 3 Pro that comes with a punch-hole design, the Indian variant is expected to offer a Samsung Galaxy S10-like dual punch-hole setup. The smartphone is likely to feature a 6.5 inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 90Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it would house an under-display fingerprint sensor for secure authentication.
Reno 3 Pro to get "Expert Camera credentials", confirms Arif
Quite like its Chinese counterpart, the India-specific OPPO Reno 3 Pro would offer a quad-lens rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 13MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP (f/2.4) monochrome lens. Up front, the dual punch-hole module would accommodate a 44MP main camera, coupled with a 2MP depth sensor.
Details about the processor are unclear as of now
The China-specific Reno 3 Pro packs a Snapdragon 765G processor that comes with a built-in 5G modem. However, it's still unclear if the company would launch the phone with the same chipset in India. As for memory options, the handset could offer up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Lastly, it would pack a 4,025mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support.
And, how much will it cost?
There is no official word on the India pricing of the Reno 3 Pro yet. However, considering the 5G version of the phone starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 40,900) in China, we expect the LTE variant to be priced around Rs. 35,000 in India.
