OPPO reduces prices of these mid-range phones in India
In a bid to boost sales, OPPO has slashed the prices of Reno 2F and Reno 2Z smartphones in India. The Chinese tech giant has announced a price cut of Rs. 2,000 on both the premium mid-rangers. The key highlights of these phones include all-screen design, 48MP quad rear cameras, a pop-up selfie camera, and mid-level internals. Here's our roundup.
First, here's a look at the new prices
With the latest price revision, the Reno 2F is now listed at Rs. 23,990 (previous price: Rs. 25,990) while the more premium Reno 2Z is available at Rs. 27,990 (previous price: Rs. 29,990). Notably, the smartphones are now up for grabs at their updated prices on Amazon as well as leading brick and mortar stores across the country.
Now, let's recall these smartphones
As far as their specifications are concerned, both the Reno 2F and 2Z come with an all-screen design achieved by favoring a pop-up camera module over display holes and notches. The result is a 92% screen-to-body ratio. On the rear, they house a quad-camera unit with an LED flash. They sport a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution and an under-display fingerprint reader.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The quad camera unit on the Reno 2F and Reno 2Z comprises a 48MP (f/1.7) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) monochrome sensor, and another 2MP (f/2.4) lens to capture depth details. Up front, both smartphones offer a 16MP (f/2.0) motorized pop-up selfie camera which can also record 1080p videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The Reno 2F is powered by a Helio P70 processor, while the Reno 2Z draws power from a faster Helio P90 chipset. As for memory options, both handsets offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB (128GB on Reno 2F) of expandable storage. Moreover, these phones run on Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 and pack a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 (20W) fast-charging technology.
Finally, what about connectivity options?
Both models offer all the latest connectivity options including support for dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, VoLTE, Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Lastly, they pack all standard sensors including an accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope, and e-compass.
