OPPO Reno 2, Reno 2F, Reno 2Z launched: Details here
Expanding its portfolio of smartphones, OPPO has launched the Reno 2 series in India. The line-up comprises three phones including standard Reno 2, Reno 2F, and Reno 2Z. As for key highlights, all the three handsets offer an all-screen design, pop-up selfie camera, quad rear cameras, AMOLED display, in-screen fingerprint sensor, and mid-level internals. At a glance
Up front, OPPO Reno 2 sports an edge-to-edge notch-less look achieved by adopting a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera. On the rear, it houses quad cameras, a vertical LED strip, and dual-LED flash. The Reno 2F and 2Z, on the other hand, feature a similar all-screen look. However, they house a centrally aligned pop-up selfie camera as against the wedge-shaped module on the Reno 2.
All about screen
The OPPO Reno 2 comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, 93.1% screen-to-body ratio, and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. On the other hand, the Reno 2F and 2Z sport a 6.53-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ resolution, 91.5% screen-to-body ratio, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Furthermore, all the three handsets come with an optical fingerprint scanner for secure unlocking.
What's the camera like on OPPO Reno 2 series?
The OPPO Reno 2 sports a quad-lens rear camera setup including a 48MP main sensor, 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP dedicated macro camera. Separately, the Reno 2F and 2Z come with a similar camera setup but with a 48MP primary lens, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP monochrome sensor, and another 2MP sensor to capture depth details.
For the selfie lovers
To capture selfies, all the three phones house a 16MP front-facing shooter housed in a pop-up module. However, the Reno 2 come with a distinctive wedge-shaped pop-up module, while the Reno 2F and 2Z offer a typical centrally aligned pop-up camera.
All the important stuff
The OPPO Reno 2 packs a Snapdragon 730 chipset, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the Reno 2F and Reno 2Z draw power from Helio P70 and Helio P90 processors, respectively. Both smartphones offer 8GB RAM and upto 256GB storage. Furthermore, all the three phones are backed by a 4,000mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support.

As for the pricing, the standard OPPO Reno 2 costs Rs. 36,990, while the Reno 2Z is priced at Rs. 29,990 in India. However, the company has not revealed the price of Reno 2F as of now. Talking about launch offers, buyers can avail Rs. 3,000 discount on smartphone exchange and 10% instant discount on payments using HDFC Bank cards.
And, what about availability?
The OPPO Reno 2 will go on sale in India starting September 20, while the Reno 2Z will be available for purchase from September 6. Meanwhile, the Reno 2F will go on sale in the country sometime in November.
