OPPO reduces prices of these smartphones by upto Rs. 2,000
As part of the "Merry Christmas and New Year 2019 Special Offer", OPPO has slashed the prices of three of its popular smartphones by upto Rs. 2,000. The phones that have received the price cut are OPPO A83 (2018), OPPO F9, and the OPPO F9 Pro. Notably, the reduced prices will be applicable across online and offline sales channels till January 31. The OPPO A83 (2018) has received a price cut of Rs. 500 and will now be available for Rs. 8,490. The OPPO F9 has seen a price drop of Rs. 2,000 and will now retail for Rs. 16,990. Further, the OPPO F9 Pro has also received a price reduction of Rs. 2,000 and will now be available at Rs. 21,990.
OPPO A83 (2018): At a glance
To recall, OPPO A83 (2018) sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display, a 13MP rear camera, and an 8MP selfie snapper. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6737T chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Moreover, the phone runs Android Nougat-based ColorOS 3.2, supports dual-SIMs, and packs a 3,180mAh battery. Notably, it lacks a fingerprint sensor but supports face unlock feature.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage (expandable upto 256GB). Under the hood, the phone packs a 3,500mAh battery with support for VOOC fast charging technology and runs Android Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2.

The OPPO F9 is quite identical to the Pro model except for some difference in RAM and storage.
