OPPO K5, with 64MP quad rear cameras, goes official
Alongside the flagship Reno Ace, Chinese tech giant OPPO has also introduced the mid-ranger K5 in its home country. As for the key highlights, the phone comes with an all-glass body, 64MP quad rear cameras, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and mid-level internals. Notably, it will be available for purchase in China starting October 17. Here's more.
OPPO K5 offers over 91% screen-to-body ratio
OPPO K5 sports an all-glass body with a familiar waterdrop notched design and offers a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. The back side of the phone gets a gradient finish and houses vertically stacked quad camera module. Further, it features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
The phone also houses 64MP quad rear cameras
The quad rear camera unit on the OPPO K5 comprises a 64MP (f/1.8 ) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) dedicated macro camera, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. UP front, there is a mighty 32MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper. Also, the main camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps, while the selfie camera offers 1080p video recording at 30fps.

The OPPO K5 packs a Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor, paired with upto 8GB RAM and upto 256GB of internal storage. The phone runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 and houses a solid 4,000mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 (30W) fast-charging technology. In addition, it offers all standard sensors and latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C port, and headphone jack.
And, what about pricing and availability?
The OPPO K5 starts at CNY 1,899 (approximately Rs. 18,900) for the entry-level 6GB/128GB model and goes upto CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 24,900) for the 8GB/256GB variant. It will be up for grabs in China starting October 17.
