OPPO K3 to launch in India on July 19: Report
In a bid to take on the upcoming Realme X and Redmi K20, Chinese tech giant OPPO is working to introduce its K3 smartphone in India soon. The mid-range handset, which has been teased on Amazon, will go official in the country on July 19, according to 91Mobiles. To recall, OPPO K3 was launched in China in May this year. OPPO K3: At a glance
The OPPO K3 features an in-trend all-screen design achieved by adopting a pop-up selfie camera module. On the back, it flaunts a gradient design and houses dual cameras. Further, it offers a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display along with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, DC dimming feature, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Notably, the handset also sports an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The dual lens rear camera unit on the OPPO K3 comprises a 16MP (f/1.7) primary sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, the pop-up module houses a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper. Meanwhile, the main camera offers support for 4K recording at 30fps while the front-facing camera is limited to 1080p recording at 30fps.
Under the hood
The OPPO K3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, paired with upto 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of onboard storage. Under the hood, it packs a 3,765mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge technology and runs Android Pie-based Color OS 6.0. Lastly, the phone supports all the standard connectivity options including dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
Pricing and availability
The OPPO K3 starts at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,100) for the base-end 6GB/64GB model and goes upto CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 23,200) for the top-end 8GB/256GB variant. Hence, going by these figures, we can expect the phone to arrive in India under Rs. 20,000.
