India-bound OPPO F9 Pro specs leaked: Details here
OPPO's first smartphone to feature a 'waterdrop'-shaped notch - the OPPO F9 - has been launched in Vietnam. The phone boasts a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio and comes with mid-level specs. Interestingly, the Pro variant of this phone, set to launch in India on August 21, has also been leaked in an alleged OPPO F9 Pro marketing document. Here's everything we know.
OPPO F9: At a glance
Up front, the OPPO F9 features a waterdrop-like notched display with a prominent bottom bezel. On the back, the phone gets a dual-tone gradient finish and reflective textures along with metallic accents around the camera and fingerprint sensor. In terms of display, the OPPO F9 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) LCD display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood
The OPPO F9 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSD card. Further, the phone runs Android Oreo 8.1-based ColorOS 5.2 and packs a 3,500mAh battery with VOOC fast charging technology.

On the back, OPPO F9 features a dual lens setup comprising a 16MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, along with an LED flash. Up front, the phone gets a 25MP (f/2.0) sensor which comes with a dedicated HDR technology. Additionally, the phone also offers a portrait mode, AI-based scene recognition, AI Beautification 2.1, AR stickers, and Slow Motion video mode.
Connectivity options and sensors onboard OPPO F9
In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-SIM (Nano) cards, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Leak suggests F9 Pro will pack similar specs as F9
According to the leaked marketing material, the India-bound OPPO F9 Pro will pack identical specs as the F9. This means the F9 Pro will feature the same 6.3-inch display along with same internals and camera modules. However, the only distinguishing factor, suggested by the leaked documents, is that F9 Pro will come with 6GB RAM only unlike 4GB/6GB RAM options available on OPPO F9.
