OPPO F9 Pro to launch in India on August 21
OPPO is all set to launch its latest mid-range smartphone - the OPPO F9 Pro - in India on August 21. Days after teasing the design of the upcoming smartphone, OPPO has now sent out invites for the launch event. The key highlights of the F9 Pro are its new 'waterdrop' like notched display, a rear-dual camera, and mid-level specs. Here's our roundup.
OPPO F9 Pro: At a glance
As seen in the official teasers, the F9 Pro will feature a waterdrop-like notched display along with a prominent bottom bezel. Further, the phone will get a dual-tone gradient finish and reflective textures on the back panel with metallic accents around the camera and fingerprint sensor. The F9 Pro will sport a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
In terms of optics, the OPPO F9 Pro is likely to get a 16-megapixel rear primary camera with an f/1.85 aperture, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, paired with an LED flash. Up front, the phone is expected to get a 25-megapixel camera with AI features.
Under the hood
The F9 Pro is expected to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, coupled with ARM Mali-G2 MP3 GPU, 4GB RAM/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage model (expandable up to 256GB). The phone is said to pack 3,500mAh battery with in-house fast charging technology called VOOC flash charging and run Android Oreo 8.1 out-of-the-box.
Connectivity options and sensors onboard F9 Pro
In terms of connectivity options, the phone will support dual-SIM cards with 4G VoLTE on both SIMs, dual-band WiFi 802.11a/c (2.4GHz+5GHz), USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. Further, we expect the standard array of sensors on the OPPO F9 Pro.
