OPPO A9 to arrive in India next week?
Chinese tech giant OPPO is working to launch its mid-range smartphone OPPO A9 in India sometime around next week, according to a report. The handset, which is already available in China, is expected to arrive at a price of Rs. 15,990 in India. The key highlights of the smartphone include its waterdrop notched design, dual rear cameras, and mid-level internals. Here is our roundup.

On the front, the OPPO A9 sports a dewdrop notched display with a thin bottom bezel while on the back, it houses vertically stacked dual cameras along with LED flash and physical fingerprint scanner. It features a 6.53-inch display with full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Notably, it will be available in Mica Green, Ice Jade White, and Fluorite Purple colors.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
The dual rear camera setup of OPPO A9 comprises a 16MP (f/1.8) main sensor along with a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor for bokeh effect. The handset also sports a 16MP (f/2.0) front-facing camera for selfies. Moreover, both the front as well as rear cameras are capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
Under the hood
The OPPO A9 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 chipset, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM, and 128GB of storage (expandable upto 256GB). The handset runs on Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 and packs a 4,020mAh battery. Furthermore, it offers all the standard sensors and connectivity options such as dual-SIMs (nano), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro-USB port, and audio jack.

Citing its retail sources, 91Mobiles claimed that the OPPO A9 will arrive at a price of Rs. 15,990 in India. At this price point, the phone will go up against the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M40, and the recently launched Vivo Z1 Pro.
