OPPO A9 2020 receives a price-cut of Rs. 1,000
In an attempt to push sales, OPPO has slashed the prices of its wallet-friendly A9 2020 smartphone in India. The price-cut, which is applicable to both online and offline sales channels, has brought down the starting price of the phone to Rs. 14,990. The mid-budget phone offers a 48MP quad camera, a physical fingerprint scanner, a 5,000mAh battery, and mid-level internals.
First, a look at the new prices
With the latest price revision, the entry-level 4GB/128GB variant of the OPPO A9 2020 is now priced at Rs. 14,990 (previous price: Rs. 15,990) while the top-of-the-line 8GB/128GB model is up for grabs at Rs. 17,490 (previous price: Rs. 18,490). Apart from that, there are also attractive no-cost EMI options and a 5% cashback on payments using ICICI Bank cards.
A look at the OPPO A9 2020
The OPPO A9 2020 features a familiar waterdrop notched design with a sizeable bezel at the bottom. The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) LCD screen with 20:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset houses a physical fingerprint scanner for secure unlocking, and is offered in Space Purple, Marine Green, Gradient White, and Vanilla Mint color options.

The OPPO A9 2020 houses a quad rear camera setup comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.25) ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP (f/2.4) monochrome lens, and another 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. Up front, the handset offers a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper. Moreover, the rear camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, while the front camera can record full-HD videos at 30fps.

OPPO A9 2020 is powered by a Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of expandable storage. The handset runs on Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 and packs a solid 5,000mAh battery. Furthermore, it comes with the latest connectivity options including dual-SIMs (Nano), dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, VoLTE, Type-C port, and a headphone jack.
