OPPO launches 2018 edition of A71 smartphone
OPPO has launched the 2018 edition of its OPPO A71 smartphone. The device succeeds the OPPO A71 smartphone which was launched in September last year. The launch also follows a price cut in the predecessor from Rs. 12,990 to Rs. 9,999. So far, the price and availability of the new phone, which can be bought in black and gold, have not been revealed.
The phone features AI-based beauty recognition technology
OPPO A71 (2018) features artificial intelligence (AI)-based beauty recognition technology. It allegedly uses a global image database to highlight and beautify major facial features. For selfie shots, the smartphone sports a proprietary bokeh effect that can specifically blur the background. For this, the device deploys a built-in smart arithmetic optimization that distinguishes foreground subjects from background subjects.
The phone has 5.2-inch HD display, 13 MP rear camera
The dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD display, coupled with 16 GB of on-board storage and 2 GB of RAM. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC processor that is clocked at 1.8GHz and runs the Android 7.1 Nougat-based ColorOS operating system (OS). The phone also sports a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.
The phone packs 3,000mAh battery with 19 hours of usage
As for connectivity, the smartphone supports options of 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It features a 3000 mAh battery that can reportedly deliver 19 hours of all kinds of usage on a single charge. It also has sensors like an accelerometer, an ambient light, an e-compass, and a proximity sensor.
