OPPO A7 gets officially listed: Specifications, price, launch offers confirmed
OPPO's latest budget-friendly smartphone, the OPPO A7, has been officially listed on the company's India website, Flipkart and Amazon. The phone was recently launched in China and Nepal and is expected to go on sale in India on November 27. Further, as per Flipkart's listing, the OPPO A7 will be priced at Rs. 16,990. OPPO A7: At a glance
Up front, the OPPO A7 sports a waterdrop notch-based display with a prominent bottom bezel. On the back, the phone gets gradient finish, a dual camera setup and fingerprint sensor with golden accents. Further, the A7 features a 6.2-inch HD+ (1520×720 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body ratio of 88.3%.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
OPPO A7 features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, paired with an LED flash module. The main camera is powered by AI beauty technology that "offers studio-quality portraits with bokeh effect," according to the company. Up front, the OPPO A7 gets a 16MP selfie snapper and comes with HDR support and AR stickers.
Under the hood
The OPPO A7 is powered by an entry-level octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, paired with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. Under the hood, the phone packs a 4,230mAh battery and runs Android Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2.
Connectivity options and sensors onboard the OPPO A7
In terms of connectivity options, the phone offers support for dual-SIM cards, dual 4GVoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mmheadphone jack. Further, sensors on board the OPPO A7 include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
OPPO A7: Availability
According to reports, OPPO A7 is expected to go on sale first via offline channels. However, it won't be offline exclusive. The phone has been listed on Amazon as "currently unavailable" and on Flipkart as "coming soon". This suggests OPPO A7 will be made available online as well. Further, the phone will be offered in Glaze Blue and Glaring Gold colors.
OPPO A7: Launch offers tipped ahead of sales
According to MySmartPrice, HDFC Bank customers will get a 5% cashback. Further, on Paytm Mall, customers can avail cashback vouchers worth Rs. 1,500. Additionally, as part of a partner offer, Reliance Jio will offer benefits up to Rs. 4,900 and up to 3.2TB of data. Likewise, Airtel subscribers will get cashback of up to Rs. 2,000 while Vodafone customers will receive 150GB of data.
