OPPO to debut cheapest 5G phone in India on April-27
As per a Flipkart microsite, OPPO will launch a new 5G smartphone, the A53s 5G, in India on April 27. The Chinese tech giant has also revealed that the handset will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset and will be priced under Rs. 15,000; making it the cheapest 5G phone in the country. The phone may sport an HD+ display
Details regarding the design and display of the OPPO A53s 5G are scarce at the moment. However, it is likely to feature a waterdrop notch design with a prominent bottom bezel and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it will offer a triple camera module. The handset may bear a 6.5-inch HD+ (720x1600 pixels) IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
It may house a 64MP main camera
The OPPO A53s 5G will come with a triple rear camera module and a single selfie snapper. The specifications of the other lenses are unclear as of now, but the device should have a 64MP main rear sensor.
It will be fueled by a Dimensity 700 processor
The OPPO A53s 5G will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, likely to be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It may run on Android 11 and pack a 5,000mAh battery with fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device should offer support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a headphone jack, and a Type-C port.
OPPO A53s 5G: Pricing and availability
The OPPO A53s 5G will be priced under Rs. 15,000 in India. However, the official pricing details will be announced at the April 27 launch event. The handset will be available for purchase via the e-commerce site Flipkart.
