OPPO A5 with 4,320mAh battery and 4GB RAM launched
As yet another mid-range offering, OPPO has launched the OPPO A5 smartphone in China. The phone sports an in-trend notch-based display along with an AI-powered selfie camera. Designed for millennials, the OPPO A5 packs a 4,320mAh battery that can offer up to 14 hours of video playback and up to 11 hours of gaming on a single charge. Here's our roundup of OPPO A5.

The OPPO A5 gets an 87.9% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to an edge-to-edge bezel-less notched display and a small chin. On the back panel, it features a geometrical texture that has been created by using nano-scale micro-crystalline technology. It features a 6.2-inch HD+ (720x1520 pixels) FullView display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved front glass for protection.

The OPPO A5 sports a dual rear camera setup comprising 13MP, f/2.2 primary sensor and a 2MP, f/2.4 secondary sensor, paired with an LED flash module. Up front, there is an 8MP, f/2.2 sensor with a fixed focal length. The front camera comes with OPPO's AI Beauty feature for enhancing selfies, can recognize up to 296 facial features and supports facial unlocking.

OPPO A5 packs 4,230mAh battery, runs Android Oreo 8.1-based ColorOS 5.1 and supports dual-SIM (Nano) cards.
OPPO A5 supports facial scanning for unlocking the phone
The OPPO A5 lacks a fingerprint sensor and instead uses facial scanning for unlocking the device. The phone has been priced at CNY 1,500 (approx. Rs. 15,500) in China and is offered in Mirror Blue and Mirror Pink color options.
