Here's how the OPPO A12 will look like
OPPO is gearing up to launch a new budget smartphone, the OPPO A12, in the coming days. Now, tipster Ishan Agarwal and Pricebaba have collaborated to give us a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone and revealed some of its key details. As per the tip-off, the phone will offer a waterdrop notched design, dual rear camera, physical fingerprint scanner, and entry-level internals. Here's more.
The phone will sport a waterdrop notched design
Going by the rendered image, the OPPO A12 will sport a waterdrop notched design with a prominent bottom bezel. On the rear, the polycarbonate panel with diamond patterns will house horizontally-aligned dual camera and a physical fingerprint sensor for secure biometric authentication. Further, the handset will offer a 6.22-inch LCD screen with an HD+ (720x1520 pixels) resolution.
For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers
In the imaging department, the OPPO A12 is expected to house a dual-lens rear camera setup comprising a 13MP (f/2.2) primary sensor and a 2MP (f/2.4) secondary lens. For selfies, video calling, and face unlock, the phone will offer a 5MP (f/2.0) front-facing snapper.
Under the hood
The OPPO A12 will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor, coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Under the hood, the phone will run Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.1.2 and pack a solid 4,230mAh battery. The standard connectivity options on the handset will include support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VoLTE, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
What about pricing and availability?
The OPPO A12 is unlikely to reach the Indian shores as its predecessor, the A11, was not launched in the country, either. As far as pricing is concerned, the handset is likely to cost around Rs. 10,000.
