OnePlus's new Bullets Wireless Z earbuds won't be truly wireless
Alongside the upcoming OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus was expected to introduce its first-ever pair of wireless earbuds called the Bullets Wireless Z. However, a new leak has revealed that they aren't of the "truly wireless" variety we were hoping for. In fact, the Bullets Wireless Z seems to have the same design as the Bullets Wireless Z except for some new color shades.
The Bullets Wireless Z will offer an in-ear design
According to leaked images, the upcoming OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z looks almost the same as the Bullets Wireless 2 that went official in May last year alongside the OnePlus 7 series. So, you can expect to get a familiar neckband design with in-ear wearability, silicon ear-tips, magnetic play-pause functionality, Type-C port for charging, and an in-line controller for managing calls as well as music.
However, you will have more color options to choose from
The earbuds will come in at least four color options that you can pair with the new shades of the OnePlus 8 series. There will be a blue variant to match with OnePlus 8 Pro's "Ultramarine Blue" model and an ivory white to go with OnePlus 8's "Interstellar Glow." The green and black versions will complement the "Glacial Green" and "Onyx Black" shades, respectively.
The earbuds should offer improved sound, and longer battery life
As an upgraded version, the Bullets Wireless Z should offer better sound and longer battery life than its predecessor. For reference, the Bullets Wireless 2 comes with dual Knowles Balanced Armature driver, 10mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.0, and AptX HD audio support. It also offers 14-hours of battery life and supports 30W WARP Charge.
It could cost less than Bullet Wireless 2
The upcoming OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z is likely to be more affordable than the Bullets Wireless 2, which debuted at a hefty price of Rs. 5,990. However, the exact details will be known at the April 14 launch event.
