OnePlus releases OTA update to resolve 9 Pro's overheating issue
Last week, several OnePlus 9 Pro users had reported overheating issues, especially while using the handset's camera app. Now, recognizing the underlying issue, OnePlus has released an OTA update in India which optimizes the device temperature and extends its battery life by improving the power consumption. It also enhances the camera performance. A second OTA update will be released in the coming weeks.

The latest OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 9 Pro carries build number 11.2.3.3. It is being released via over-the-air (OTA) method. To manually check for the update, you can go to Settings > System > System updates.
The 9 Pro boasts of an LTPO AMOLED display
As far as its specifications are concerned, the OnePlus 9 Pro sports a metal-glass body with a punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, curved edges, an IP68-rated build quality, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset bears a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440x3216 pixels) LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It is offered in Morning Mist, Pine Green, and Stellar Black colors.
There is a 16MP camera for selfies
The OnePlus 9 Pro offers a Hasselblad-branded quad rear camera module comprising a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto shooter, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP (f/2.4) selfie snapper.
It draws power from a Snapdragon 888 processor
The OnePlus 9 Pro is fueled by a Snapdragon 888 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Under the hood, it runs on Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 65W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging support. For connectivity, the device offers support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 5G, and a Type-C port.

In India, the OnePlus 9 Pro comes with a starting price-tag of Rs. 64,999 for the 8GB/128GB model and goes up to Rs. 69,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. It is up for grabs via Amazon India, the OnePlus store, and other offline channels.
